Applications are now being accepted for the 2010 Chicago Lighthouse Scholarship Awards!

Students from across the country who are blind or visually impaired are encouraged to apply for financial assistance in the 2010-2011 school year. Any form of post-secondary education is considered, including Technical Certification, Associate’s Degrees, Bachelor’s Degrees, and Graduate Degrees. The online application provides extensive information about the Program as well as details about the Program’s specific vision requirements. The deadline for completed applications is May 7, 2010.

In 2009, the Lighthouse honored 30 blind or visually impaired students pursuing post-secondary degrees. While the amount and value of awards varies each year, last year The Chicago Lighthouse Scholarship Awards granted over $60,000 in amounts ranging from $500-$5,000.
