Mary Lynne Januszewski, executive vice president, chief financial officer, first joined The Chicago Lighthouse in 1981. Moving up the ranks in various accounting positions, she became the Controller in 1989, named Senior Director of Finance and Control in 1997, and appointed as the Chief Financial Officer in 2007.

Januszewski has been instrumental in implementing the first, as well as subsequent, computerized accounting systems, beginning in the mid 1980s.  Currently, she is supervising an accounting department of ten and an information and technology department of three.

She strives to make financial recommendations and decisions that are in line with the mission of the Lighthouse and in compliance with financial, accounting, tax, and other not-for-profit statutory rules and regulations.

A native of Brooklyn, New York, she received her Bachelors of Science in Accounting from St. John’s University in Jamaica, New York and her Masters of Education from Boston College.

In addition, Januszewski received a CPA certificate from The University of Illinois and is a member of the Illinois CPA Society and of the A.I.C.P.A. 

As a Deerfield resident, past involvement has included serving on the School Board of Holy Cross Parish Elementary School for six years, two years as president and as an active parent volunteer in her children’s school and athletic activities.  Currently, Januszewski is on the Holy Cross Parish Finance Council.  

Januszewski is the wife of Jerry Januszewski and they are proud parents of two, Mark, a graduate of Carthage College, and Lindsay, a soon-to-be sophomore at The University of Illinois, Champaign.
