STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: Works directly with President & Executive Director, Vice President, Advancement/Financial Development and Director, Individual & Planned Giving/Financial Development to develop and implement strategies to identify prospects for endowment campaign, annual fund and planned giving activities.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE WORK OF OTHERS: This position holds no direct supervisory responsibility.

TRAVEL REQUIRED: Very limited travel required; mainly related to research sources.

SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Develop prospect identification list for new donors. Compiles research on the giving capacity and interest of present and anticipated individual donors to the endowment campaign, annual fund and planned giving activities.
• Manage donor database which includes developing methods to ensure donor database is accurate.
• Works with President & Executive Director in scheduling a minimum of 2-3 donor visits per week, ensuring coordination of other staff or board members as needed.
• Manages all written correspondence before and after visit to ensure proper stewardship/cultivation.
• Works with event planners when necessary on stewardship or cultivation events.
• Serves as backup for all aspects of gift processing, which includes checking mailboxes and e-mail for donations, entering donations into the donor database, generating and mailing acknowledgment letters and receipts, preparing donation reports.
• Prepares mailing lists from Raisers Edge database and manages direct mail process.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree required and 1-2 years of related experience in fundraising preferred.
• Previous working experience with Raisers Edge database, and research databases/resources required.
• Experience with standard office computing environment and software, including Microsoft Office Suite and database software, is required.
