STATUS: Part-Time, Hourly

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: Ensures that all kiosk retail operations are
performed in an accurate and timely manner. Works closely with Midway
Airport Concessionaires (MAC) supervisor and personnel to see that
customer service and sales are at optimum levels.

SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
• Signs for daily cash drawer, verifies bank amount, and follows MAC procedures to open and close the shift; reports any bank discrepancies prior to leaving the accounting office window;
• Responsible for secure transportation of the bank directly to and from accounting office to kiosk;
• Greets customers in a friendly manner, attends to their requests, and rings sales;
• Supervises cash register at all times and prevents unauthorized use of cash drawer;
• Receives customer complaints, makes attempts to resolve them immediately, and contacts supervisor for resolution as necessary;
• Follows MAC cash and over-ring procedures to ensure a balanced drawer at the end of shift;
• Performs re-stocking procedures in accordance with MAC regulations;
• Performs light housekeeping chores to ensure that work area is kept neat and clean;
• Accountable for covering all assigned shifts as reflected on schedule, which is generally published two weeks in advance;
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Previous cashiering experience required, with experience in a dry-stand or food service environment preferred;
• Proficiency with business equipment including cash register, calculator, and talking bill identifier;
• Excellent communication and customer service skills required;
• Flexibility to work varied shifts in 24 hours/7 days per week operation;
